Beverages infused with tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) are fast becoming mainstream products in the U.S. The increasing demand has fueled the growth of the cannabis beverage space, making these drinks available in liquor stores, bars and clubs. The buzz induced is also free of the adverse effects associated with alcohol, appealing to a large base of consumers wary of hangovers.

Wynk is emerging as a clear favorite. Its hemp-derived THC seltzers are redefining drinking habits in a market where most cannabis beverages contain high sugar levels. The zero-calorie seltzers present a healthier and more appealing alternative.
“We’ve seen consumer demand increase 300 percent since the beginning of the year. Being available in age-gated retail and bars has accelerated demand,” says Angus Rittenburg, founder and CEO.

Wynk’s drinks are available in four flavors—Lime Twist, Juicy Mango, Black Cherry Fizz and Tangerine. Wynk has created a refreshing taste akin to popular, mildly flavored seltzers like La Croix. All four flavors are sold in cartons of six from drinkwynk.com. Variety packs are being sold in liquor stores too, with three cans of each flavor.
Consumer feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with many appreciating the ability to enjoy a non-alcoholic drink with a nice buzz. The effect begins approximately 15 minutes after consumption and lasts about 90 minutes. Wynk initially began by selling the drinks in an 8.4oz can, which contained 2.5 mg of THC. Heeding customer demand for increased THC content, it introduced a 5 mg dose in 12oz cans. The availability of two different amounts of THC enables consumers to manage levels, making it equally appealing to first-time cannabis consumers. All the drinks are 1:1 THC:CBD.

The products are already available online in 38 states, with Wynk establishing a physical presence through rapid expansion across retail locations in states like Tennessee, Texas, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Connecticut and Florida. It also offers a subscribe-and-save service that ensures customers receive their preferred drinks on a regular basis.

The growing acceptance and legalization of low-dose, hemp-derived Delta-9 cannabis beverages have earned distribution partnerships with major retailers like Total Wine. The company is on course to produce 20 million cases this year.
The zero-calorie THC seltzers are taking over as a compelling alternative to alcohol that caters to modern consumer preferences, cementing Wynk’s position in the industry. Its strategic positioning, high-quality production and expanding market presence have made it the preferred choice among cannabis aficionados across the country.
