Scaling Up a Smoother Social Drink

The founders of the company noticed a growing demand for beverages that offer the feel-good effects of alcohol without the harmful aftermath. With a background in hospitality—owning a chain of high end restaurants and CBD stores—they were uniquely positioned to understand both the back-end of drink creation and the front-end consumer experience. As the shift toward more mindful drinking gained momentum, the founders of Gigli saw the change firsthand. What started as an experiment quickly became a movement. The early days were cautious, with the company producing only six pallets initially. But that hesitation quickly turned to validation as demand surged.

Today, Gigli moves more than 350 pallets a month and is available in over 20 states. Though it started in Minnesota, it was never just a local story. The company’s THC beverages have become a full-blown national trend, with Gigli leading this rapidly growing market. What sets the company apart is its intentionality—not just in flavor, but in the entire experience. The team wanted something that could be enjoyed at a dinner party or a night out, without sacrificing mental clarity or physical well-being the next day.

One of the key differentiators for Gigli is how its flavors came to life. Instead of copying what was already out there, the team looked inward to their restaurants for inspiration.
